O que é Portugal afinal?

Ontem estive em Heathrow. Havia um António onde comprei chá. Como tinha um sotaque (e não só) de indiano, perguntei-lhe porque raio se chamava António. "I am Portuguese. Born and raised in Bombay". Depois fui comer um fish & chips. A senhora que me atendeu chamava-se Maria. Fiz-lhe a mesma pergunta. "I am from Goa, a former Portuguese colony, my grandfather and my mother still speak Portuguese".
